Author visits are great for your school and students because it encourages them to read, enhances literacy skills, promotes creativity, and can help improve the reading culture within your school. My Author visits are an amazing experience from beginning to end. We read, we interact, we have fun and most importantly we learn!
My visits are best suited for grades PreK-3rd and they are an assembly styled program.
Single Presentation Visit: One 45-60 minute session.
BEFORE THE VISIT
- There must be a minimum of 50 tickets ($15 per ticket) purchased two weeks before the visit for me to visit your school.
- I will email you the form to email to your parents and send home with your students. The form will explain what a ticket is and how to purchase them.
- I will send graphics for you to print and hang up throughout the school (about me, character pictures, cover pictures, themed visit information) This will help get students excited about my visit!
- I request that you do an activity about my book before my visit and hang the results throughout the classroom/school. I will provide all of the instruction for the activity to the school prior to my visit. This is another tool to help get students excited about my visit as well as introduce my books before I get there.
- Make sure you have a projector that I can connect to and show my books.
